Cassie Richardson
Cassie is currently working as the Wig and Makeup Supervisor for the National tour of Book of Mormon, and previously held the same position for the National tour of Waitress. Prior to that she worked as a Wig and Makeup Staff Member at the Santa Fe Opera. Cassie is a graduate of the MFA Wig and Makeup Design program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. During her time in the 3 year program, Cassie focused on wig making and styling and building her leadership skills. She thoroughly enjoyed her time as the Wig and Makeup Shop Manager.
A native of Southwest Missouri, Cassie previously earned her BA in Theatre Studies at Missouri State University before accepting a Wig and Makeup position at Sight and Sound Theatre. She worked on multiple shows each requiring nearly 300 wigs during her 3.5 years with the company and attributes much of her passion and knowledge for wigs and makeup to this enjoyable experience.
Cassie has many goals for her future career including, building medical wigs, traveling with a national tour (check!), building for and working on Broadway, and working for Saturday Night Live. She hopes that her career allows her to travel and see the world and that her skills can be used to create beautiful pieces of art.
